Who We Are

The leadership and members of Lambrick – from the Sunday school to Pastoral team - are passionate about making a connection and developing relationships with the leaders and people of the Belo communities. A very exciting ministry partnership has formed between the congregation of Lambrick Park Church and FH Canada. In the late 1990’s, LPC’s missions council began a dialogue with FH Canada. The in 2001, in response to the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, the leadership of the Place Community proposed re-directing two weeks of Place offerings towards refugees through the ministry of FH. In what can only be described as a “god thing” the congregations got behind this idea , sending three large containers of supplies, medicine, basic foods, and approx 7000 pairs of children’s footwear. In many ways, we have never been the same. David Collins, previous president of FH Canada, began to visit us regularly, teaching into our understanding of mission, evangelism, compassion, justice, relief and development. As David outlined the ministries of FH Canada, new seeds were being planted that today are bearing fruit in our church. Today, we are in a long-term developmental relationship with the Ethiopian communities of Belo. A healthy commitment, made to an African village, in partnership with a trusted organization like FH is a rare and exciting opportunity. We believe that God is doing a new thing at Lambrick, and that this partnership will be a significant part of that.
