Who We Are

Fifth Avenue Club is making a difference in the small village of Belo (Bell-oh) in south west Ethiopia by adopting it as a special project, through Food for the Hungry Canada. Belo is a village where 98% of the 3,300 people draw their livelihood from traditional agriculture. Fifth Avenue Club is helping to create sustainable development to improve the areas of infrastructure, food supply, health/sanitation, education, organization and leadership within the village. As a result, the families of Belo will no longer struggle each day to meet their most basic economic, social and spiritual needs. Our commitment is to support the community development program in Belo until the completion of the project in 2011. We, along with Fratello Coffee, are partnering with Food for the Hungry Canada in this endeavour to ensure that all of the town's needs are met. Fifth Avenue Club is contributing $3 from every membership, every month to improve the way of life in Belo. We hope all our members feel proud of the part they play in changing lives and we encourage any interested members to become more involved.
