  • Title: Child Development Program Advisor

    The CDP Program Advisor supports the CDP programs of the Latin America Region to increasingly achieve the Vision and Mission of FH. This is made possible through the effective and efficient management of resources, review of program design, sharing of information between offices, promotion of staff development, and through conducting CDP evaluations to improve the quality of CDP programs. This is an accompanied post.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Percentages are approximate and other duties may be assigned.

    Key Result #1 – Review and give recommendations to Latin America CDP programs on quality of program design (35%)
    1. Review plans, proposals, indicators and evaluations of CDP.
    2. Field visits to support field offices with program design.
    3. Ensure the incorporation of appropriate truth messages in the CDP program.

    Key Result #2 – Conduct CDP evaluations (30%)
    1. Coordinate and conduct CDP evaluations in the Latin America Region.
    2. Follow-up on action points from CDP evaluations and field visits.

    Key Result #3 – Coordinate training for CDP staff (25%)
    1. Support and coordinate trainings for CDP staff
    2. Promote the discipleship and spiritual growth of CDP staff.
    3. Manage CDP information, which is not stored on the portal (reports of visits, training reports, etc.)

    Key Result #4 – Manage specific CDP projects as they arise (5%)
    1. Research information, establish meaningful strategies and draw to completion projects (e.g., secondary education funding, child protection policies, etc.)

    Key Result #5 - Maintain Contact with Support Team, Sending Church and Sending National Organization – (5%)
    Maintain and build relationship with the above stakeholders by sending regular updates/support letter in accordance with respecitve NO guidelines.
    In conjuction with NO, continually monitor level of financial support from support team, making sure that monthly pledges are being sent in order to keep solidified budget at 100%.
    Communicate field conducted performance reviews (90 day and annual review, etc.) to the NO along with any job description changes.

    Title: English Tutor

    Type: International Staff - Self-supporting

    Location: Anlong Veng, Cambodia

    Description:


    Will assist in the development of local children by teaching English in both formal and informal settings in and outside of the classroom. Will also tutor FH/Cambodia staff to improve their English skills in writing and reading. This position will help FH to gain favor with local leaders and officials as well as provide an avenue for relational evangelism and discipleship by conveying Biblical values and worldview in English lessons. The position can be full time or, as desired, part-time (in combination with IT coordinator or other part-time position). Opportunities are wide and varied, and with discernment there is room to tailor the position. This is an accompanied position.

    Key Result #3 – Develop English teaching curriculum - 20%
    1. Find and write English teaching curriculum for the above audiences that illustrates Biblical worldview principles and values.

    Title: Information Technology Coordinator

    Title: Ministry Partnerships Advisor

    The FH/Cambodia Ministry Partnerships Advisor will assist selected, like-minded partners of FH/Cambodia to increase their effectiveness and impact across churches in Cambodia in support of wholistic ministry. This is an accompanied position.

    Key Result #1 – Cheas Ponleu (Shining Light) Advisor (40%)
    Materials production – Newsletter & Brochures – Assist Cheas Ponleu to produce quality support materials, such as newsletters and descriptive brochures.
    Regularly assist Cheas Ponleu national staff (particularly female staff) on mentoring visits to church leaders in Cheas Ponleu study groups.
    When language capacity allows, participate in a Cheas Ponleu study center (12 meetings over a 2 year period).
    Other strategic initiatives as decided

    Key Result #2 – TEEaC (Theological Education by Extension Association of Cambodia) Advisor (40%)
    1. Course work & materials production – Assist TEEaC to modify materials used by FH for use in TEEaC courses, as well as to produce quality support materials, such as newsletters and descriptive brochures.
    2. Assist TEEaC to develop a systematic method of equipping partner coordinators (including regular visitation, encouragement, and follow-up of coordinators alongside TEEaC national staff) to invest in their TEEaC study center leaders.*
    3. When language capacity allows, study a TEEaC course in a Khmer discussion environment to increase level of understanding of TEE methodology and its expression in the context of Cambodian churches & Christians
    Key Result #3 – Language Learning (15%)
    1. Initial language study will be full-time for one year, and will be 15% of the time upon completion of first year of service in order to begin working in Key Result #1 and #2 above.

    Title: International Staff Coordinator

    Type: International Staff - Self-supporting

    Location: Greater Lima, Peru

    Description:


    The International Staff (IS) Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, orientation, training, development, and member care of all International Staff (both support and non-support raising). This person is responsible for ensuring that HR functions are in place and performed well on behalf of all international staff, in order to optimize their adaptation to life and ministry in Peru. The IS Staff Coordinator reports to the Country Director (CD) and will work as part of the Human Resource team to ensure ongoing communication and cooperation between the national and international staff members, FH National Organizations (NOs), and the Global Human Resource (HR) Department. This is an accompanied position.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Percentages are approximate and other duties may be assigned.

    Key Result #1 Recruit International Staff to fill strategic roles in FH/Peru 25%
    1. Assess FH/Peru staffing needs along with the CD and communicate them to FH Global in order to launch a global recruiting effort
    2. Liaise between NO’s, FH Global, and FH/Peru regarding staffing needs and potential candidates
    3. Coordinate the interview and staff placement process of NO’s pre-selected candidates

    Key Result #2 Oversee the member care and well being of all International Staff 40%
    1. Provide opportunities for ongoing training and care necessary for international staff members to excel in their particular role

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
    No direct supervisory responsibilities. The candidate will assist the Regional Managers and field staff to acquire information necessary to develop new projects.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS
    Fluency in both written and spoken Spanish and English is preferred. In the event the Project Design and Evaluation Coordinator cannot demonstrate fluency, the candidate must be willing to take classes to achieve fluency level.

    Title: Teams Coordinator

    Type: International Staff - Self-supporting

    Location: Greater Lima, Peru

    Description:


    The Teams Coordinator will direct and coordinate the general program of short-term teams in Peru and will proactively assist in the training, recruitment, and leadership of teams in coordination with the Country Director. This person is responsible for all aspects of team ministry including both spiritual and physical. This includes collaborating with FHI field managers and local staff to establish projects for short-term teams while taking into consideration the diversity of skills, talents and gifts of teams and members. The Teams Coordinator will supervise and provide direction to the Assistant Teams Coordinator and will aid in the general promotion of FHI Peru, including the collection of media and the promotion of team projects in Peru.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Percentages are approximate and other duties may be assigned.

    Key Result #1 – Hosting Teams 45%
    · Lead and host short term teams while they are in country with the purpose of facilitating all aspects of their orientation to Peru and FH strategy, the team’s ministry project and the logistics related to their stay.
    · Evaluate each team’s visit to Peru and implement improvements for the teams program.

    Key Result #2 – Team Logistics and Planning 40%
    · Oversee the general program of teams including the strategic selection of team projects in coordination with the Regional Managers, scheduling team visits, and the development of budgets.
    · Act as a liaison between FH Peru and the N.O.’s (National Organizations) in all communication and coordination regarding short term mission teams.
    · Plan all of the team logistical and project details, in-country dates, budgets, spiritual ministry, activity schedules, and sponsored child visits in coordination with the Country Director, the Regional Offices, and the National CDP Coordinator.
    · Coordination of team project details with local community leadership and FH staff in preparation for the team’s arrival.
    · Provide support, direction, and supervision to the Teams Coordinator Assistant.

    Key Result #3 – Partnership Building 10%
    · Promote and develop long term C2C relationships between team sending units and FH/Peru with the purpose of building strategic intervention partnerships.

    The Team Coordinator will provide direct supervision and training for the Team Coordinator Assistant. The Team Coordinator may provide supervision in the future to an Assistant Team Coordinator as the program grows.

    The Team Coordinator must demonstrate fluency in both written and verbal communication in Spanish and English. In the event that the Team Coordinator is an SIS, the candidate must be willing to take classes to reach fluency level.
